Clarity and Confidence for Every Project
Our individually tailored services are designed to give you the clarity and confidence you need to make informed decisions about your property, whether you’re buying, selling, leasing, investing, or planning to redevelop
We offer a comprehensive range of building surveying services, including:
Building Surveys
Buying a property is a major investment – so making an informed decision is essential.
A Full Building Survey, or Structural Survey, offers the most comprehensive assessment of a property’s condition, helping you avoid hidden issues and negotiate with confidence.
Full building Surveys (Structural Surveys):
Clarity before you commit
Ideal for older, unusual, or heavily modified properties, or if you plan to renovate, a Building Survey provides a tailored, in-depth inspection. It covers structural defects, damp, timber decay, insulation, drainage, and construction materials, along with estimated repair costs and recommendations for further investigations if needed.
Whether you’re buying your forever home, a business premises or investing in a renovation project, a Full Building Survey gives you the clarity and confidence to move forward while knowing exactly what you’re getting into.
Vendor Surveys: Stay in control of your sale
A vendor survey gives you the advantage in the sales process by providing a clear independent assessment of your property before it goes to market. It helps you stay in control, minimising surprises, avoiding delays and reducing the risk of price renegotiation.
Tailored to your property our vendor surveys cover structural condition, regulatory compliance, and any planning or environmental concerns. Where needed, we coordinate specialist investigations to provide a complete picture.

Technical Due Diligence: Know More, Risk Less
A technical due diligence survey offers a more in-depth inspection than a full building survey.
For Buyers: We go beyond standard inspections to evaluate suitability, future costs, and compliance risks. This strengthens your negotiating position. Key areas include energy efficiency, M&E systems, structural capacity, planning constraints, and lease obligations.
For Sellers: A pre-sale due diligence report helps you stay in control by identifying and addressing issues early thereby reducing the risk of delays, price reductions, or failed deals.
In today’s market, the real question isn’t whether you can afford a due diligence survey – but whether you can afford not to.

Building Safety Act
The Building Safety Act (BSA22) aims to make homes safer by transforming how buildings are designed, built, and managed. It applies to all projects requiring Building Regulation approval.
If you are a building owner, manager, developer, or involved in commissioning, designing and constructing buildings, this law applies to you.
BSA22 introduced new duty-holder roles, which sound similar to CDM 2015, but are entirely separate with distinct legal responsibilities.
These include:
- BSA Principal Designer (BSA PD)
- Client
- Principal Contractor
- Contractor
- Building Safety Regulator
Every project requiring Building Regulation approval must now appoint a BSA Principal Designer (BSA PD). If not, the client becomes legally responsible. Get it wrong and you risk project delays, increased costs, legal action, and reputational damage.
We can help
With over 30 years of experience under CDM and proven Building Regulation compliance expertise, Daniel Connal Partnership can help you navigate the complexities of the new legislation and serve as your BSA22 Principal Designer – BSA PD.
