The EFSPT is an academy trust with responsibility for 16 schools located across North East London and South Essex. To inform their future maintenance & improvements programmes, the EFSPT needed to understand the condition of all the buildings in their schools portfolio.

The majority of the EFSPT’s academies are infant and primary schools. The schools vary significantly in size and cater for between 70 and 600 children. Several of the schools date from the Victorian era, while others were built in the 20th century. Most have been extended at one time or another to accommodate increasing pupil numbers.
Daniel Connal Partnership was appointed to carry out building condition inspections at all 16 of the schools. The results of these inspections were incorporated into comprehensive reports providing the EFSPT with the information they need to establish priorities for their future maintenance and improvements programmes.
Following the successful completion of this project for the EFSPT, DCP was delighted to be appointed as their retained surveyor.
