CAMHS Centre, Waltham Forest

Project Overview

Project: Reconfiguration & Refurbishment Scheme
Client: North East London NHS Foundation Trust
Contract value:  Undisclosed

Daniel Connal Partnership was appointed to provide architectural design, contract administration and project management services on this refurbishment and reconfiguration project for NELFT.

The scheme saw two vacant properties at Hawkswell Court extensively reconfigured to provide a non-residential Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Centre for the Waltham Forest area.  The buildings had previously used by the NHS as adult residential inpatient accommodation,

DCP worked closely with the Trust to ensure that the reconfigured design provided appropriate spaces in the new facility.  The centre, which is co-located with other NHS services on the site, now provides a suite of light and bright therapy rooms, an observation room, administration offices and comfortable waiting area.  The garden area at the properties has been retained and provides a useful and pleasant outside space for visitors to the centre.  The contractor on the project was EPCO Ltd.
