The University of Essex has dynamic and ongoing plans to maintain and improve their campus in Colchester.
Daniel Connal Partnership was appointed to provide contract administration, project management and CDM advisor services on their recent project to provide additional seating areas and improve the lighting in the ‘Squares’ at the heart of the university campus. The university also wanted to formalise the exterior seating areas for the cafes and eateries on site.
University of Essex
Durability was a key feature of the new seating, which also incorporated solar powered lighting. Innovative smart shelters where students can meet to work and socialise also included USB charging points.
