Our 80th Anniversary Charity Darts Tournament raises £2,139 for local charities
What a night!
More than 100 guests helped to raise an impressive £2,139 for two fantastic local charities – Thrive Autism and the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation – at our 80th Anniversary Charity Darts Tournament in Norwich.
What began just three years ago as an idea to host a low-key lunchtime darts tournament in the DCP office, to encourage networking, has grown into a much anticipated – and larger – annual event. Last week 32 teams took to the Oche for an evening of friendly competition, fundraising and lots of laughter.
Special thanks go to The Lion & Castle for hosting the event, Eastern Darts Corporation for supplying the dartboards and live-streaming the final, and our event sponsors, Gowing Group, NCL Contractors and Smith of Honingham.
We would also like to thank Simon Watson Photography for capturing the evening so brilliantly.
Roll on 2027!
Organised by Quantity Surveyor, Sean Burnett-Kiernan, who had the original idea, the event brought together colleagues, clients, consultants, and contractors in support of two excellent causes. As an added nod to our 80th, teams were allocated a decade between the 1940s and 2010s and asked to dress accordingly – and the teams went to town!
Each round of darts was fiercely contested, leading to a closely fought final, a repeat of last year’s, between Smith of Honingham and NCL Contractors. This year the trophy went to Smiths!
Additional prizes on the night went to:
- Josh Harbord from Qoda – Winner of the Best Dressed trophy
- Mimi Speed from Purcell – Winner Spin the Wheel competition
