Charity Golf Day 2025

A huge thank you to all the teams who joined us at Thetford Golf Club for our annual Charity Golf Day in support of two amazing charities: It’s on the Ball and The Robin Cancer Trust.
We were blessed with perfect golfing weather – it didn’t rain and there was even a touch of sunshine – and our 17 teams made the most of it (fortified with bacon sandwiches and coffee, of course) and were rewarded at the 19th hole with a delicious BBQ.
All the teams enjoyed their day – we had many compliments on the course and the catering – but naturally, every event needs its champions. This year’s winners were …. drumroll, please: R G Carter, who took the team prize, Ryan Barnes who took the best individual score and Tom Devine and Chris Ames who took the prizes for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive. Congratulations all!
Of course the real winners of the day were the charities. We are thrilled to announce that we raised £2,600 which will be split equally between It’s on the Ball and The Robin Cancer Trust.
Thank you to the amazing (he would say amazeballs) Darren Couchman from the Robin Cancer Trust and equally amazing Tom Chapman from It’s on the Ball, who spoke so brilliantly and with much humour on the work of their charities, raising awareness of and supporting those with testicular and ovarian cancer.
And finally, thank you to everyone who played, contributed raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets and helped make the day such a success. Your generosity and enthusiasm made it very special.
