Building Safety Act 22 Expertise
7 May 2024
With the new Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA22) driving a fundamental reform of the building safety system in England and Northern Ireland, we are delighted to announce that two of our team have recently successfully completed the relevant Chartered Association of Building Engineers, Building Control Course.
Aimed at those designing projects to meet the Building Regulations as well as those working in Building Control, the course provides:
- Improved understanding of legislation
- The ability to be able to interpret regulatory requirements and guidance
- An awareness of alternative solutions to compliance
- An appreciation of the practical solutions to common problems
We are delighted that Matthew Fitzpatrick, Senior Architectural Technologist, in our London team and John Read, Partner in our Norwich office, both achieved a distinction in the intensive course.
With over 30 years’ experience helping our clients discharge their duties and this proven competence in Building Regulation compliance, DCP is well-equipped to assist in meeting the requirements of the new Act as your BSA22 ‘Principal Designer’ and ‘Designer’ roles under the Building Regulations in England (BRAE) Regulations.
You can find out more about BSA22 and how DCP can help you here, or contact: John Read in Norwich on 01603 629421 and Matthew Fitzpatrick or Jason Froude in London on 0207 375 2535.
