We are sometimes asked what makes Daniel Connal Partnership different?
What is our USP or Unique Selling Point?
As Chartered Surveyors following the RICS Codes of Practice and providing a professional service, it’s a question I have struggled with in the past.
Okay, we pride ourselves on being friendly, professional and with a strong client focus, but I would like to think that most surveyors share those attributes. Certainly, those I come across seem generally to be nice people and I’m sure they do a great job for their clients.
But, having worked with DCP for 22 years now, I do know that we are remarkable, that we have something special, and I was really keen that we as a company put our collective fingers on exactly what it is.
So, at this year’s staff conference we had a session on defining our USP. With the Practice operating from 3 different offices, I was quite prepared to get a very wide range of opinions, which would take a lot of interpretation to drill down to the underlying USP, but no, it was particularly pleasing to find a commonality.
Having been split into groups with a mix of people from each office, each group came up with a short phrase describing what they believed makes DCP different.
And they were:
- We go the extra mile.
- We bend over backwards.
- We go above and beyond.
How fantastic to have, what is in the end, such a common focus on doing our very best for our clients? How lucky are we to work with these staff who so want to give that bit extra in the service they provide? And how lucky are our clients in our staff? People who work so hard to go above and beyond.
So, is DCP remarkable?
We know we are – after all, we go above and beyond, the extra mile, whilst bending over backwards. There must be a strapline in there somewhere?
