Project Monitoring
Project monitoring is about protecting the client’s interest …
… identifying and advising on the risks associated with acquiring an interest in a development that is not under the client’s direct control.
Whether you are a lender providing finance for a development, a tenant due to take full responsibility for a building once complete or have any other interest in a property, you want someone to keep a close eye on it for you.
As project monitoring surveyors we combine a diligent and thorough desktop review of the proposals with regular site inspections followed by clear and straightforward reporting. This gives our clients confidence that the building will be delivered successfully, on time and free from potential future issues: whether a contravention of legislation, a practical problem for future maintenance and occupation or a latent defect.
As well as having expertise in the key risk areas of construction costs, building procurement and programme management, we also have expert knowledge of design and construction quality, planning and statutory legislative compliance, all of which might be major elements of risk.
As project monitoring surveyor our primary role is one of investigator and advisor to the client but we also aim to support the developer and the construction team through a risk management process of benefit to all and contributing to the ultimate success of the project.
