DAGMAR ROAD, LONDON, SE5
Project: Full refurbishment of Victorian terrace property (4 flats) including re-roofing, window replacement & external works
Client: Private Client
Services provided: Quantity Surveying, Party Wall services
Contract value: £383k
The substantial 4 storey Victorian property, in Camberwell, South London, had been converted into 4 individual flats around 40 years ago. It now required full refurbishment to improve its visual appeal and comply with current building regulations.
Daniel Connal Partnership worked closely with Tangram Architects providing pre and post contract quantity surveying services and party wall advice on this project which was let on the basis of the JCT Intermediate Contract with a schedule of works.
The building was completely stripped back and reconfigured to provide 2 bedroom apartments at both basement and ground floor levels, with the existing two bedroom apartments on the first and second floors being refurbished. Plumbing and electrical services were upgraded to enhance the energy performance of the building. Additional measures to improve the energy efficiency and aesthetics of the property included the replacement of single glazed timber sash windows with fully compliant heritage style double glazed sash units, re-roofing and insulation.
Daniel Connal Partnership was very pleased to be involved in this successful project which has transformed 4 inefficient and dilapidated flats into bright, modern and spacious apartments, maximising the client’s investment and providing attractive and appealing accommodation for future residents.
