ENTRANCE ENHANCEMENTS, MARKET GATES SHOPPING CENTRE
Project: Entrance Enhancements, Market Gates Shopping Centre, Great Yarmouth
Client: Mars Pension Fund
Services provided: Quantity Surveying
Contract value: £80,000
The Daniel Connal Partnership were appointed to provide cost control and procurement advice on this project at the main shopping centre in Great Yarmouth.
The shopping centre has three entrances, two from the Market Place and one from Regent Boulevard. The scheme included providing new entrance canopies and integrated signage to each of these entrances.
Acting as Quantity Surveyors, Daniel Connal Partnership developed a fast-track tender process to select a main contractor to manage various specialist packages on this project.
The client was eager to have the works completed before the important summer holiday period in this regional hub and tourist destination. This timescale was achieved and within the prescribed budget.
We went on to provide further procurement advice and to look at the feasibility of a number of schemes to develop retail spaces in the centre’s bid to attract a greater number of national retailers.
