PLANNING PERMISSION ON GREENFIELD SITE, HALESWORTH
Project: New Industrial Development
Client: Spectra Packaging
Services provided: Project Manager
Contract value: Undisclosed
The Daniel Connal Partnership managed the planning application process for this major industrial development.
The proposed development was for a greenfield area outside the Local Development Framework for Halesworth. Although the site was adjacent to other industrial processes it had not been zoned for development.
The planning application process required a large number of validation exercises including an Environmental Impact Assessment, Tree Survey, Ecology Survey and Mitigation Measures, Flood Risk Assessment, Travel Study, Acoustic Survey as well as a Design & Access Statement.
We worked closely with various consultants and specialist surveyors and also the Planning Consultants who prepared a Planning Statement and advised on the legal precedents. The significant ecology mitigation measures and archaeological investigations required put an onus on the timing of this project. However, with astute management of timescales, including programming seasonal ecology works, planning permission was obtained to enable the client to commence development in accordance with his desired timetable.
