Sometimes referred to as Chelsea-on-Sea, Burnham Market is one of the loveliest and smartest North Norfolk villages. A 2 bedroom cottage can set you back over £500,000, which indicates just how difficult it can be for local families to find housing. So a recently completed DCP project, providing affordable housing in the heart of the village, was very welcome news.
Successfully appointed to Victory Housing‘s Housing’s Framework, DCP was subsequently appointed as Employer’s Agent on this project delivered by the Hill Partnership, to provide four very attractive, three bedroom homes for local families at the Foundry Field development.,
At the time of appointment the properties were partially completed. DCP immediately instigated an inspection to ensure that rights of way across the site met legal requirements and that the developer’s specification was being followed by the contractor.
As works progressed, DCP undertook regular inspections to monitor progress and ensure that standards were being maintained. We subsequently established a handover protocol which, in addition to snagging and final inspections, included the review of home information packs for future tenants.
