WOODSIDE CHILDREN’S CENTRE – 2
Project: Feasibility Study
Client: London Borough of Haringey
Services provided: Feasibility Study
Contract value: Undisclosed
The Daniel Connal Partnership was appointed by the London Borough of Haringey to carry out a feasibility study of Woodside Children’s Centre. The study provided:
- Comprehensive condition information about the Centre
- Fire Risk Assessment
- Recommendations for remedial works
- Detailed cost plans
Constructed around 2005, the building replaced a previous children’s centre which had occupied the site. It is a purpose-built structure which is predominantly timber frame.
Our study, including a drone survey, identified a number of deficiencies and highlighted immediate areas of concern. As well as condition items the feasibility report also highlights suitability issues but given the age of the Centre these were limited.
The Borough will use the completed feasibility study as an information source to move their improvement strategy forward as part of its overall vision for a ‘Stronger Haringey.’
