SWAFFHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE
Client: Iceni Partnership
Project: Replacement Community Centre for the market town of Swaffham, Norfolk
Services provided: Quantity Surveying
Contract value: £1.6m
The Daniel Connal Partnership acted as quantity surveyors on this project to provide a replacement community centre in the market town of Swaffham. Designed by Jeremy Stacey Architects the building provides community offices and a café as well as meeting rooms and function spaces in the rural Norfolk town. Part funded by European Objective 2 grant, DCP initially prepared a budget estimate to assist with the grant application.
DCP undertook cost planning, prepared bills of quantities as part of the tender documentation within a traditional procurement approach, and successfully managed the contract costs to deliver the project within budget.
The Daniel Connal Partnership also produced tender documentation including service level agreements for a variety of support services for the subsequent facilities management of the community centre.
