The summer months are always busy for a construction consultancy with clients in the education sector. The long school break and promise of decent weather offering optimum conditions to get projects completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, before students return in the autumn.
We are delighted to have been appointed by GLF Schools (Multi-Academy Trust) to provide Project Management and Principal Designer services for the delivery of a 3,350m² phased roof and rooflight replacement and maintenance scheme at Meridian High School, Croydon, South London. Built in the 1950’s, originally as two separate schools, the buildings are almost exclusively of single storey flat roofconstruction. There are a total of 24 flat roofs on the school site.
We have also been appointed by the London Borough of Hackney to provide Project Management, Principal Designer, Building Control and Structural services on a 2,360m² roof and rooflight replacement scheme at Jubilee Primary School, Stoke Newington.
The projects will help both schools to improve the thermal performance of their buildings resulting in significant savings in energy costs.
