Planned Maintenance

We believe prevention is more cost effective than cure and therefore offer a service tailored to the following six core principles:-

  • Knowing annual maintenance costs in advance
  • Planning for future improvements
  • Avoiding unexpected expensive building work
  • Keeping costs down now and in the future
  • Knowing your building is safe and well maintained
  • Minimising disruption caused by maintenance work

We provide planned preventative maintenance plans covering 5, 10, 15 or 20 years dependant on your requirements. These can include just major structures and heavy use areas, or take into account everything down to mechanical and electrical services. We establish what needs doing when and which jobs can wait until you have more funds. Works are fully costed, budgets and priorities taken into account and a plan drawn up.

Our service does not finish at providing the initial plan; we can undertake regular inspections to keep on top of new defects so they do not develop into more serious problems. You can decide whether to have these additional inspections carried out once or twice a year and what degree of detail you want us to cover. Our plans are flexible and realistic about your cash flow, therefore works can be brought forward if they become more urgent or pushed back if they can wait or other priorities become more pressing. Any such changes would be fully costed and consequences explained.

We can also procure and manage any necessary maintenance, using our knowledge and experience to enable the works to be delivered for the best possible value and  by suitable and trusted contractors.
