Daniel Connal Partnership is delighted to be involved in the construction of a new facility for Dutch firm BH Bus Industrial Tools.
DCP are acting as Quantity Surveyors on the 2000m2 office and warehouse project which will also provide associated car parking, storage and delivery yards on the site at South Denes Business Park, Great Yarmouth. We will be working alongside the Paul Robinson Partnership (PRP) and Rossi Long Consulting.
BH Bus Industrial Tools is a privately owned Dutch company, supplying equipment to both on and off-shore industries. Currently operating out of leased accommodation in Great Yarmouth, BH Bus are developing their own facility as part of their planned expansion in the UK.
DCP, again in association with PRP, were involved with the original development of South Denes with the construction of the headquarters building for Seajacks – the first occupier of the Enterprise Zoned Business Park. The business park has mains infrastructure and an access road serving the proposed BH Bus plot. It also benefits from close proximity to the new deep water outer harbour.
Taking advantage of this location, the warehouse/office building shell and core is currently being completely manufactured in the Netherlands by the client’s directly engaged contractor B.O.M.A. Staalbouw. The pre-fabricated building which includes pre-fabricated foundations will be shipped across the North Sea and erected in just 16 weeks.
To facilitate a rapid start-on-site, the Daniel Connal Partnership, helped select the UK contractor, Munnings Construction, on the basis of a Bill of Approximate Quantities prepared on assumed detail design and specification as well as a qualitative assessment of the ability and flexibility of the contractor to work under the proposed arrangements.
Work on the new BH Bus facility is due to be complete early in 2018.
