A fire at a premises can have tragic consequences, but not only does fire kill. It also costs money through property damage and business disruption. The Regulatory Reform ( Fire Safety ) Order 2005 now place an increased legal duty on premises owners and an added risk of prosecution proceedings.
The practice provides the following services:
- Advice on the application and duties of the Fire Safety Order.
- Undertaking risk assessments by undertaking an organised and methodical survey of the premises, the activities carried out there and the likelihood that a fire could start and cause harm to those in and around the premises.
- Assisting a competent person with advice on the fire protective adequacies of a building, its form, materials and construction.
- Designing improvements to reduce the danger of fire spread and improve escape routes.
